Indonesian football legend Irfan Bachdim and Persija Jakarta’s rising star Arlyansyah Abdulmanan attended the grand opening of Adidas Home of Football at PIM 3, Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, on Friday (5 June 2026).
During the event, both players came face-to-face with lifelike statues of global football icons Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal displayed inside the store.
This store is the first adidas football specialist outlet in Indonesia, with its entire concept dedicated exclusively to the sport.
Adidas Home of Football is more than just a place to shop for football gear; it aims to bring fans and players closer to the world’s most popular sport.
From the moment visitors enter, they are immersed in a strong football atmosphere.
One of the main highlights is the presence of statues of global football superstars Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal, both of whom serve as adidas Football brand ambassadors.
The display of two figures representing different generations of football greatness has become a major attraction for visitors.
Messi, who has captured nearly every major title in world football, and Yamal, one of the brightest young talents today, symbolize adidas’ journey in supporting players across generations.
Benjamin Handradjasa, President Director of adidas Indonesia, stated that the opening of adidas Home of Football represents the brand’s commitment to getting closer to Indonesia’s vibrant and growing football community.
“Indonesia has a massive and passionate football community,” Benjamin said. “The presence of adidas Home of Football is our way of providing a more complete experience for both players and fans.”
“We aim to create a space that supports their love for the sport,” he added.
The launch event was also attended by several Indonesian football figures, including young player Arlyansyah Abdulmanan and former national team member Irfan Bachdim.
Both players took the opportunity to share their excitement for the upcoming 2026 World Cup and discuss their favourite adidas football products.
Arlyansyah expressed his delight at the opening of a dedicated football store in Indonesia.
According to the Persija Jakarta player, adidas Home of Football has the potential to become a new gathering spot for footballers and fans across the country.
“I’m really happy that adidas Home of Football is now in Indonesia,” Arly said. “I’m sure many Indonesian footballers will come here.”
Visitors can also explore national team jerseys from the 2026 World Cup participants, as well as adidas club kits for the 2026/2027 season. The latest professional-grade products used by top players are also available.
The store features a personalization area where visitors can add their favourite names and numbers to their chosen jerseys. Various interactive zones have also been designed to offer a more immersive football experience.
Inderpreet Singh, Vice President Footwear & Active of Kanmo Group, emphasized that adidas Home of Football is part of a broader effort to strengthen football culture in Indonesia.
He noted that football in Indonesia is not just a sport, but also a lifestyle and an essential part of national identity.
“Through adidas Home of Football, we want to create a space that inspires players, fans, and communities to connect more deeply with the sport they love, while also supporting the growth of Indonesia’s football culture,” he said.
