Materials:

  • Rice
  • Moong dal
  • water
  • Turmeric
  • Onion
  • Green chillies
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • ghee
  • tomato
  • Coriander
  • cumin
  • Garlic
  • Mustard
  • curry leaves

Action:

  • To make moong dal khichdi, first of all, soak rice and moong dal in water. This will make the rice soft after cooking.
  • Put the soaked rice, mugdal, turmeric and water as per requirement in the cooker pot and close the cooker lid and make whistles.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and onion, tomatoes and keep it for cooking. After that, add salt to it and keep it covered for some time.
  • Then add ginger garlic chili paste and mix. After the onion is cooked properly, add the cooked soft rice and mix it.
  • Cover and cook the khichdi for 5 to 6 minutes. Finally add finely chopped coriander and mix.
  • Mung bean khichdi made in a simple way is ready.
