As reported by yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Google’s AI model Ask Gemini has predicted that Arsenal will top the table in the upcoming 2026-27 Premier League season. This forecast forms part of a full-season projection generated ahead of the new campaign.
Leeds United and Sunderland both managed to stay up in their first season back in the top flight, breaking the usual trend of newly-promoted sides struggling for survival.
Daniel Farke’s Leeds finished 14th in the standings, comfortably eight points above the relegation zone, ensuring safety with three games remaining.
Sunderland, meanwhile, impressed by securing a Europa League berth with a seventh-place finish. Burnley, Wolves and West Ham were relegated, with Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City earning promotion as Championship champions, runners-up and play-off winners respectively.
Bookmakers have placed Coventry, Ipswich and Hull among the top candidates for relegation, with many considering the second season after promotion to be the more challenging one.
According to Gemini’s forecast, the top six will feature Arsenal in first place, followed by Manchester City in second, Liverpool in third, Manchester United in fourth, Chelsea in fifth and Aston Villa in sixth.
The AI model expects Arsenal to retain their Premier League title, led by a seasoned and cohesive core. Manchester City are projected to finish runners-up amid uncertainty following Pep Guardiola’s departure, while Liverpool are tipped to bounce back strongly.
Manchester United are seen as a team on the rise, driven by the leadership of Bruno Fernandes. Chelsea’s success will depend on maintaining consistency from Cole Palmer and his teammates, whereas Aston Villa are predicted to solidify their status among Europe’s elite.
