Countryfile presenter Adam Henson has shared his own thoughts on fellow farmer Jeremy Clarkson, who owns a 1,000-acre farm in Chipping Norton. The former Top Gear presenter purchased the Oxfordshire-based farm in 2008 and began running it in 2019, after the former villager who had managed it retired. The farm, famously called Diddly Squat Farm, is now known across the country and beyond thanks to his hit series Clarkson's Farm on Prime Video. Jeremy even opened his own pub on his land, named The Farmer's Dog, which often features on the programme, now in its fifth series.

Adam, who is also a famous farmer, recently addressed Jeremy's impact on the farming community while speaking to The Oxford Mail. The BBC presenter explained: "It seems to me from the people around him and from his own voice that he's really found a passion in farming.

"He's a great advocate for British agriculture, and he's tied up with some great people who work on the programme with him.

"Clarkson's Farm is very funny, it's quite theatrical in the way it's produced, but it's brought agriculture and farming to a whole new section of society."

The Countryfile star added: "And for me as a farmer who loves telling the story about British agriculture, you've now got programmes like Countryfile and Clarkson's Farm, you've got YouTubers, you've got people on Instagram."

The 60-year-old presenter, who runs a 650-hectare farm in the Cotswolds, also said he respects anyone who can "help educate the consumer and the British public" about farming culture.

Clarkson's Farm returned to screens earlier this month, and as always, Jeremy does not shy away from airing the brutal realities of running a farm.

During this series, the 66-year-old has to have surgery for his heart in the hospital and requires weeks of rest. Elsewhere, his establishment is badly damaged by a savage storm, and he never gets over the heartbreak of seeing his animals sent off to be killed for their meat.

Clarkson's Farm is available to watch on Prime Video.
