Train Cancelled: The DDU Railway Division has cancelled the Ara-Varanasi-Ara MEMU train for 100 days due to track upgrade work. This will cause inconvenience to daily commuters.
Train Cancelled: If you travel by train, this news is relevant to you. The Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) Railway Division has cancelled the Ara-Varanasi-Ara MEMU passenger train for the next 100 days. The railway administration took this decision due to track upgrades and modernization work. However, this decision will inconvenience thousands of passengers.
According to the Railways, a 'mega block' has been implemented in the division to improve tracks, lay new rail lines, and install electronic systems. The Railways states that once the work is completed, train operations will be safer and more punctual.
Direct impact on the Ara-Varanasi route
According to the railway notification, train numbers 63229 (Ara-Varanasi MEMU) and 63230 (Varanasi-Ara MEMU) will remain completely suspended for the specified period. This train was considered the most affordable and convenient option for passengers traveling between Ara, Bihiya, Dumraon, Buxar, Gahmar, Bhadaura, Dildarnagar, DDU, and Varanasi.
Those who will face the most difficulty
The suspension of this train will cause the most trouble for students who commute daily to Varanasi and DDU. Students studying at BHU and other colleges will now have to rely on alternative modes of transport. Additionally, the cost of travel will increase for working professionals, small business owners, and laborers. Patients traveling to Varanasi for medical treatment and their accompanying family members will also face significant inconvenience.
Railways Appeals to the Public
The railway administration has appealed to passengers to check the latest train status before traveling to avoid any inconvenience. They have also requested that this information be shared with as many people as possible.
