PM Modi will go to Europe to participate in G-7; There will be a big meeting with Macron, will visit Slovakia for the first time

G-7 Summit PM Modi Europe Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a tour of Europe from 13 to 18 June 2026. During this six-day visit, the Prime Minister will visit various cities of France and for the first time will pay a state visit to the Central European country of Slovakia. The visit is aimed at further strengthening India’s global role and deepening ties with key international partners.

Bilateral talks with President Macron

PM Modi will start his journey from Nice city of France on June 13. On June 14, he will hold bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron to review the India-France Special Global Strategic Partnership.

Both the leaders jointly launched ‘Bharat Innovates’ Will also inaugurate the program in which startups and venture capital funds will participate. On the last leg of the visit, on June 18, PM Modi will visit Paris, where he will attend Europe’s largest startup event ‘VivaTech’. Will attend and can address the Indian community.

Historic state visit to Slovakia

Prime Minister Modi will be on a state visit to Slovakia from 14 to 16 June. This will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since Slovakia became an independent country in 1993. The Prime Minister will discuss increasing cooperation with PM Robert Fico and President Peter Pellegrini in areas like trade, investment, automobile and railway manufacturing.

Possible meeting with Trump

A highlight of the trip is the G-7 summit to be held in Evian, France on June 16-17. In this conference, PM Modi will discuss with the leaders of G-7 countries and representatives of international organizations on issues like new partnerships, international solidarity and safe expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

It is also believed that for the first time after February 2025, there may be a bilateral meeting between PM Modi and US President Donald Trump. The strategically important issue of Hormuz may also remain at the center of discussion during the G-7 meeting.

India’s growing role on the global stage

Prime Minister’s participation in G-7 ‘Global South’ Reflects India’s growing role as a powerful voice. ‘Bharat Innovates’ and ‘Vivatec’ Their presence at events like this will showcase India as a global hub of innovation and digital transformation. This visit will give a new direction to India’s comprehensive strategic partnership not only with France and Slovakia but also with the entire European Union.
