The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the results for the Class 10 second board examination soon. Although the board has not yet officially announced the date and time for the results, an announcement is expected shortly. Once the results are declared, students who appeared for the exam can view them on the board's official website and download their marksheets. In addition to the website, the results can also be accessed via DigiLocker and the UMANG app.
This year, CBSE introduced a two-board-exam system for Class 10. The second board examination was conducted between May 15 and May 21, 2026. This new examination system was designed to give students another opportunity to improve their marks within the same academic session. It also allows students with 'compartment' status to take the exam without having to wait until the following year.
Approximately 6.7 lakh students applied for the CBSE Class 10 second board examination. The majority of these applications came from students wishing to improve their marks from the first board exam. About 5.25 lakh students registered for the improvement exam, while over 85,000 applied for the compartment exam. This reflects a positive response from students towards CBSE's new two-exam system.
