Are you also not getting shiny and silky hair despite using expensive shampoos and hair products? If yes, then the problem may not be in your products but in the way you wash your hair. Yianni Tsapatori, hairstylist of celebrities like Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani and Deepika Padukone, has told an easy secret to keep hair healthy and shiny.

According to Yiani, if you want to maintain the natural shine and moisture in your hair, then start rinsing with cold water at the end of the shower. Also, first shampoo, then apply hair mask and finally conditioner,

Tips to keep hair shiny

Yianni Tsapatori told in this interview that hair should be washed with cold water instead of hot water. That is, after washing hair, do the last rinse with cold or normal to cold water. Due to this, the cuticle layer of the hair closes and moisture remains inside the hair. As a result, hair looks more smooth, shiny and manageable.

Why does cold water help?

  • Helps close the cuticle.
  • Locks moisture inside the hair.
  • Reduces frizz and adds shine.

How to wash hair?

  • Nita Ambani’s hair stylist told that the job of shampoo is to clean the scalp. In such a situation, while washing hair, massage the scalp gently with finger tips.
  • Do not ignore the back of the head i.e. the area near the neck. Rubbing too hard can cause hair breakage.
  • First shampoo, then apply hair mask so that moisture reaches the hair through the open cuticles.
  • After this apply conditioner, as it helps to lock the moisture by closing the cuticles.
  • After bathing, instead of rubbing your hair vigorously, gently blot the water with a towel. This will reduce friction and reduce hair breakage.

Hard water can also cause harm

If the water in your area is very hard, minerals can accumulate in the hair, making them look lifeless and dry. In such a situation, using filtered or bottled water for the last rinse can be helpful.
