Hariyali Teej 2026: Sawan is a month dedicated to Lord Shiva. Worshiping Shiva in this month is considered especially fruitful. The month of Sawan falls during Chaturmas. Lord Shiva takes charge of the world during this entire month. Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva is performed throughout the month of Sawan. By performing Jalabhishek in this month, Lord Shiva becomes very pleased and fulfills all the wishes. According to Drik Panchang, in the year 2026, the month of Sawan is starting from 30th July, which will continue till 28th August.
Monday has special significance in the month of Sawan, but many important fasts and festivals also occur in this month. Shravani Teej is included in these fasts. It is also called Hariyali Teej. This is considered to be the biggest festival or fast of women in Saavan. This fast is observed every year on Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Saavan month. - According to Drik Panchang, this year the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month will start on August 14 at 06.46 pm.
- This date will end on August 15 at 05:28 pm.
In such a situation, according to the Udayatithi, this year the fast of Hariyali Teej will be observed on 15th August.

On the day of Hariyali Teej, the auspicious time for worshiping Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati will be from 07.29 am to 09.08 am. On this day, the afternoon puja time will be from 12.25 pm to 05.22 pm.

On the day of Hariyali Teej, one should wake up before sunrise, take bath and wear green clothes. After this, you should clean the place of worship and sprinkle Ganga water there. Then married women should do 16 adornments and sit at the place of worship. After this, an idol or picture of Shiva-Parvati should be installed on a post. Sitting at the place of worship, take a pledge to observe Hariyali Teej fast and start the worship. Then fruits, flowers, sweets etc. should be offered to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. After this, the fast story of Hariyali Teej should be recited. Chant the mantras of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati and do aarti at the end. Then Prasad should be distributed among the people of the house.
