While this government announcement has brought joy to farmers, an important warning has also been issued. If you want this government-disbursed amount to be credited directly to your bank account without any hindrance, you must avoid certain common yet serious errors. Due to stricter regulations, even a minor oversight could result in your installment being withheld.

These 5 mistakes could stall your 23rd installment.

If even one of the following five discrepancies exists in your profile, your payment will automatically be put on hold.

• Pending e-KYC: The government has made e-KYC mandatory for all active beneficiaries. If you have not yet completed the verification of your account, you will not receive the payment this time.
• Aadhaar card not linked to the bank account: Merely having a bank account or possessing an Aadhaar card is not enough. The government transfers funds via 'Direct Benefit Transfer' (DBT). For this, it is mandatory to have your Aadhaar number 'seeded' (NPCI mapping) with your bank account.
• Incomplete land verification (Land Seeding): Land seeding is essential to ensure that the benefits of the PM-Kisan Yojana reach only genuine landowners. If there is any discrepancy in your government revenue records (Khasra or Khatauni numbers), the payment will be held up.
