Why is Telegram used?
People who are involved in phenomena like paper phuti sell leaked or fake question papers on Telegram app. Because of the privacy and large group size on Telegram, scammers and fraudsters choose Telegram. There is no limit to adding members to groups that can be created on Telegram. 200 members can be added to a normal group that can be created in Telegram. When this limit is exceeded, the corresponding group is automatically converted into a supergroup, where there is no limit to the addition of members.
Privacy on Telegram is more beneficial
Cybercriminals also take advantage of Telegram’s privacy in cases like paper footy. Secret channels can be created on Telegram. Cybercriminals create such secret channels on Telegram and send links to students who are preparing for exams. Besides, parents are also added to this group.
Often the question paper reaches the people involved in cases like paper footy in advance. After this they take a photo of this question paper and share it in secret and personal groups. Photos uploaded to the group reach thousands of people at once. After that, many prepare for the exam by studying the same question paper.
