Kashi Pilgrimage Details
If you have been planning a spiritual journey for a long time, then Kashi Pilgrimage offered by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) can be a great opportunity for you. This 9-day special train journey will visit many major religious places of the country. This journey includes holy places like Gaya, Bodhgaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj. The Yatra will commence from Tirunelveli on September 9, 2026 and conclude on September 17, 2026. For the convenience of passengers, arrangements for boarding and deboarding the train have been made at various major stations.

The first day of the journey will begin with the departure of the train from Tirunelveli. Passengers can board from stations like Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchirappalli, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore and Gudur. On the third day, the train will reach Gaya, where accommodation arrangements will be made for the passengers. After lunch, visit the famous Mahabodhi Temple of Bodh Gaya. On the second day, after visiting Vishnupad Temple, the journey will proceed towards Varanasi.

There are three categories of packages available for tourists. Sleeper class (economy) fare is ₹16,700 per person, while 3AC class fare is ₹26,100 and 2AC class fare is ₹34,100 per person. Special discounted rates will apply for children. This package includes train travel, accommodation, meals, local transport and sightseeing facilities. According to IRCTC, the package prices under the ‘Bharat Gaurav Train’ scheme have been reduced by about 33 percent.
