How is the selection made?
The process begins with a written examination covering General Knowledge, English, Mathematics, Reasoning, and military-related questions. A GATE score is mandatory for Ground Duty (Technical) posts. Additionally, candidates holding an NCC 'C' certificate receive special concessions for the Flying Branch.
Subsequently, candidates must appear for the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview, which includes tests of mental ability, group tasks, and a personal interview. A Pilot Aptitude Test is also conducted for the Flying Branch. Following all these stages, a medical examination is held, and the final selection is based on the merit list.
