The country's largest medical entrance exam, NEET-UG 2026, has concluded. While relief was visible on the faces of students leaving the exam center at Pandara Road, Delhi, many remarked that the paper was somewhat more difficult compared to previous years. Reactions to the paper were mixed; most students found the Physics questions particularly challenging and time-consuming to solve. In contrast, the Biology and Chemistry sections were relatively easier, offering the students some relief.

Students also appreciated the security measures implemented this time, following the paper-leak controversy of the past. They noted that the arrangements at the centers were superior, with the NTA ensuring adequate monitoring and security, thereby facilitating a fair examination process. Students also benefited from the additional 15 minutes allotted for the exam; many candidates mentioned that this extra time allowed them to read and answer more questions, making it easier to complete the paper.

**NTA Exercised Utmost Vigilance**
Although the biometric verification process after the exam caused a slight delay in students exiting the centers, candidates generally found the arrangements satisfactory. Overall, the NEET-UG 2026 exam concluded peacefully; students felt that the NTA exercised great vigilance to minimize the risk of any lapses. All eyes are now set on the results and the anticipated cut-off marks.

**NTA Implemented Strict Security Measures**
Following the paper-leak controversy, conducting the NEET exam in a completely transparent and secure manner was a major responsibility for the NTA. Approximately 22 lakh candidates across the country appeared for the exam today. Centers were established in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, with the examination being conducted at over 5,000 centers. More than 200,000 personnel, 674 city coordinators, and 6,669 observers have been deployed to oversee the examination. An Aadhaar-based biometric verification system has also been implemented to prevent cheating and fraud.
