In Maharashtra politics, Uddhav Thackeray is facing political setbacks one after the other. Two MPs of Shiv Sena (UBT) have rebelled against the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday. Dharashiv MP Omraj Nimbalkar and Hingoli MP Nagesh Ashtikar have announced to join Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena. This decision is being considered a big blow to Uddhav Thackeray’s party.
Omraj Nimbalkar expressed displeasure over the statements made against him by Sanjay Raut and other leaders. He took this decision a few days after the court acquitted all the accused in the murder case of his father Pawanraje Nimbalkar. Uddhav Thackeray also made a last attempt to convince him, but Omraj Nimbalkar did not agree.
Omraje Nimbalkar held a meeting with local leaders in his village. He said that it is no longer possible to fight against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Padmasinh Patil and his son by remaining in the opposition.
What reason is Omraje Nimbalkar giving for the rebellion?
Omraj Nimbalkar clearly said that he is joining Shinde faction not out of greed for money or position, but considering political compulsions and regional issues.
What has Nagesh Ashtikar said?
Hingoli MP Nagesh Ashtikar told on Facebook Live that it has become very difficult to get development works done while being in opposition. He said, ‘The opposition lacks both funds and approval.’
When will we separate?
A Shiv Sena leader said that after the necessary formalities are completed, a formal announcement will be made about the joining of these two MPs in Shinde faction in a day or two. After this stance of two MPs, further rebellion in Shiv Sena (UBT) may increase. Many media reports have claimed that the four MPs remaining in the Uddhav faction may also soon join the Shinde faction.
