There is big news for Xiaomi users. The company has officially confirmed that HyperOS 4 will be launched this year. This new operating system will be based on Android 17 and is expected to feature improved performance, a new interface, AI capabilities, and robust privacy tools.

Although Xiaomi has not yet released an official list of devices eligible for this update, reports have highlighted several Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones and tablets.

When will HyperOS 4 arrive?
According to the company, HyperOS 4 will first be introduced in China between July and August 2026. A global announcement is expected to follow a few weeks later.

Reports suggest that Xiaomi might launch a beta program prior to the stable update. The Xiaomi 17 series and Redmi K90 series are believed to be the first devices likely to receive the beta update.

If the company adheres to its previous update schedule, the rollout of HyperOS 4 for global users could begin around October 2026.

Which devices might receive the update?
While the company has not yet released an official list, several devices have been identified based on current software update policies. These include:
Xiaomi 15 series
Xiaomi 15 Ultra
Xiaomi 14 series
Redmi Note 15 series
Redmi Note 14 Pro series
POCO F7 series
POCO X7 series
POCO X6 Pro

Additionally, certain Redmi tablets and POCO devices are also expected to receive the update. However, the final list will only be confirmed following an official announcement from the company.

What’s new in HyperOS 4?
This time, Xiaomi is focusing not only on adding new features but also on making the system lighter and faster. Reports indicate that the company is working on a "Zero-Legacy" framework, aimed at boosting system speed and efficiency by removing outdated and unnecessary code. Additionally, several core apps and system frameworks are being rebuilt using advanced technologies like Rust and Flutter. This is expected to result in better memory management, smoother animations, and a more stable user experience.

**Changes to Design and AI Features**
Xiaomi may further enhance its 'Liquid Glass' design in HyperOS 4. Users might see new animations, transparency effects, and a refined user interface.

The update could also include the following features:
Improved privacy controls
AI-based productivity tools
Enhanced multitasking across different devices
A new interactive lock screen experience
While these features have not yet been officially confirmed, the company may share more details as the launch approaches.
