Tottenham Eye Surprise Transfer for Manchester United Star Marcus Rashford

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing an unexpected bid to bring Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford to north London.

The Spurs have been particularly active during the current summer transfer window, having already secured the signings of Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson, and Marcos Senesi to strengthen their squad across multiple positions.

As per a report from the i Paper, Tottenham are now exploring the possibility of adding Rashford to their attacking options. While they are not willing to meet Manchester United’s £40 million valuation, the club is believed to be considering a lower offer in hopes of striking a deal.

During the 2025–26 season, Rashford spent a successful loan spell at Barcelona after losing his regular spot at Old Trafford. The England international impressed with his performances for the Catalan side, contributing 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.

Barcelona had the option to make his move permanent for £26 million, but that clause has since expired. Rashford, now 28, is said to favour a return to the Blaugrana; however, that scenario appears improbable following Barcelona’s £69.3 million acquisition of his England teammate Anthony Gordon.

At present, Rashford is part of England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup. He started on the bench in their opening group-stage match against Croatia last week but made an instant impact after being introduced by manager Thomas Tuchel in the second half.

The forward scored a well-taken goal in the 85th minute to help the Three Lions secure a 4-2 victory in an entertaining contest.
