On the auspicious occasion of International Yoga Day, the National Navnirman Cricket Competition was grandly inaugurated for the first time in Obra in collaboration with Rashtriya Navnirman Cricket Sena and Obra Knight Rider, run by Rashtriya Navnirman Sena Trust. The objective of the competition is to motivate youth and children towards sports by removing them from mobile addiction and to create a healthy and disciplined society.
The chief guest of the program, Shashikant Singh, was the patron while the second chief guest, Shri Satyendra Singh Neta, was the patron. Among the special guests, Shri Mahtab Alam, State President Rashtriya Navnirman Sena, National Yoga Guru Jhalalan Sharma and National Yoga Patron Dhanraj Singh were present. Organizer of the competition, Vikas Kumar Gaur was the state secretary and Santosh Kanojia, the state vice president in charge of the event.
On this occasion, National President of Rashtriya Navnirman Sena Trust, Anand Patel Dayalu said that today’s biggest objective is to bring children and youth out of the mobile world and to the playground. He informed that a separate competition is being organized for children up to 14 years of age and they will also be given special prizes. Efforts are being made to connect youth up to 18 years of age with sports so that their body, mind and brain remain healthy and sports spirit develops in them. He said that this competition is being organized for the first time in Obra and in future it will be given a more comprehensive format.
Patron of the competition Mr. Satyendra Singh Neta announced that any player who scores 50 runs in each match of the competition will be given a special prize of ₹ 500. Raunak Alam scored a brilliant 50 runs in the inaugural match and received this award, which was presented to him by the chief guest Shri Shashikant Singh.
The opening match was played between 11 Hunter and BTC Club. Batting first, 11 Hunter scored 113 runs and set a target of 114 runs. In reply, the entire team of BTC Club was reduced to 69 runs. Thus 11 Hunter registered a spectacular victory by 44 runs.
The organizers said that a total of 22 teams are participating in this competition, due to which there is huge enthusiasm among the players of the area. On this occasion, members of the organizing committee including Arjun Sahni, Adarsh Patel, Aryan Patel, Shivam Verma, Nitish Chaudhary, Satyam Verma, Tanishk Kumar, Anuj Verma and a large number of sports lovers were present.
