As the investigation into alleged irregularities in the counting of donations at the Ram Mandir gathers pace, temple authorities and bank management have tightened operational protocols to enhance transparency and accountability. Amid the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe, a new dress code has been introduced for employees involved in counting temple offerings.

Under the revised guidelines, all personnel engaged in donation counting will be required to wear specially designed uniforms without pockets, eliminating any possibility of concealing objects during the counting process.

Major Changes in Donation Counting System

In an effort to make the donation counting mechanism more transparent and secure, several new measures have been implemented. Following the removal of certain employees who came under the scanner of the investigation, the bank management has deployed a new team to handle the counting process.

Sources said that all staff members are now working under heightened security supervision. Employees undergo detailed checks before entering the counting facility and are permitted to work only in the prescribed uniform. The pocketless design is intended to prevent any possibility of unauthorized handling or concealment of valuables.

Questions Raised Over Contractual Compliance

Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra recently questioned the bank management's role in ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. He pointed out that clear guidelines had been laid down in the agreement between the bank and the temple trust, raising concerns over how alleged lapses could have occurred despite established safeguards.

According to reports, the bank had arranged personnel for donation counting through an outsourcing agency. The recruitment and salary disbursement processes for these workers were also handled through the same agency. These arrangements are now under scrutiny as part of the broader investigation.

Mobile Phones Banned, Media Access Restricted

Following the SIT inquiry and concerns over the leakage of sensitive information, temple authorities have imposed stricter restrictions on employees. Carrying mobile phones inside the temple premises has now been completely prohibited.

Employees have also been instructed not to interact with the media without authorization. Sources indicate that after several confidential details related to temple operations surfaced publicly, the administration adopted a more stringent approach to information management.

Family members of employees have reportedly been advised to avoid making public comments about the ongoing investigation or temple-related matters.

Anxiety Grows Among Employees

As the investigation progresses, uncertainty and anxiety among staff members have reportedly increased. Many employees fear they may be questioned regarding their roles and activities during their tenure, prompting them to avoid making public statements.

Officials familiar with the matter said employees are concerned about how to respond if called for questioning, especially as new details continue to emerge during the course of the probe.

Temple authorities have maintained that preserving devotees' trust remains their top priority. They emphasized that the donation counting process is being strengthened to ensure greater transparency, security, and accountability in the management of offerings received at the Ram Mandir.
