Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Received Senior Team India Jersey: Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who created a stir all over the world with his explosive batting, has recalled the emotional moment when he was given the Indian team jersey for the first time. Vaibhav has said that at that moment he wondered why he had picked up the bat in the first place.
In the video shared by BCCI, Vaibhav said, ‘It cannot be expressed in words. Because of which I picked up the bat from the first day and went to the field for practice. That dream has now been fulfilled. The biggest step of that journey was completed today. I really can’t explain this feeling in words.”

Vaibhav said, ‘When I saw that T-shirt, I felt as if it was a dream. I couldn’t stop smiling. Sometimes things happen that you would never have thought about. We don’t find words to respond at that time. I felt exactly the same way.”

Will break Sachin Tendulkar’s record
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was selected in the Indian senior team for the Ireland and England T20 series and Asian Games 2026 at the age of 15 years and 71 days. With his selection, Vaibhav broke Sachin Tendulkar’s 36-year-old record of being selected at the youngest age.
Tendulkar made his debut for India against Pakistan in 1989 at the age of 16 years and 205 days. If Suryavanshi gets a chance to debut against Ireland, he will become the youngest player to play for the Indian senior men’s team.
Amazing performance in IPL 2026
Suryavanshi was included in the Indian team after his stellar performance in IPL 2026 for Rajasthan Royals (RR) and winning the Orange Cap title. Vaibhav scored 776 runs in 16 matches for RR in IPL 2026, scoring 1 century and 5 half-centuries.
If we look at the Indian team’s tour of Ireland and England, Team India will play 2 T20 matches against Ireland in Belfast on 26 and 28 June. After this, 5 T20 matches will be played in England from 1 to 11 July. The men’s cricket tournament at the Asian Games will begin on September 24. -with agency input
