Tezzbuzz Desk- Dry fruits are considered very beneficial for health. Healthy fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals are found in abundance in them, but eating them in the wrong way can cause harm instead of benefits. It is advisable to consume them with caution, especially during the summer season.

According to Ayurveda experts, dry fruits are hot in nature, hence it is important to consume them properly so that balance is maintained in the body.

Why is it necessary to consume dry fruits with caution in summer?

Generally dry fruits are eaten more in winter because they generate heat in the body. Consuming these in excess or in the wrong way in summer can increase bile in the body, which can lead to problems like acne, stomach problems and heat in the body.

What do Ayurveda experts say?

According to Dr. Chanchal Sharma of Asha Ayurveda, dry consumption of dry fruits in summer can increase bile in the body. Therefore, either eat them in limited quantity or consume them after soaking them.

By wetting:

  • Nutrients are easily absorbed
  • The effect of heat on the body is reduced

According to experts, one should not eat more than 20–30 grams of dry fruits daily.
