AC Milan’s newly appointed head coach, Ruben Amorim, is scheduled to arrive in Italy on July 6 to officially commence his duties, with the first pre-season training session planned for July 13.
The 41-year-old Portuguese tactician, who signed a contract running until June 2028, was unveiled last week. This marks his first managerial role since being dismissed by Manchester United on January 5.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport and MilanNews, Amorim will formally begin his new chapter precisely seven months after his departure from Manchester United, with his arrival at Milanello confirmed for July 6.
Upon arrival, Amorim will use the opportunity to inspect the club’s training facilities and meet key directors in person. He is also expected to make a brief return to Portugal to finalise administrative matters related to his move.
AC Milan players are expected to report to the training ground on July 12 for pre-season fitness tests, followed by the first full training session the next day.
The club’s transfer activity appears to be progressing at a measured pace, as Amorim reportedly wishes to assess the entire squad in person before determining which players fit into his plans for the upcoming season.
This evaluation process will also involve players returning from loan spells, including Yunus Musah, Francesco Camarda, Kevin Zeroli, and Samuel Chukwueze.
