The tragic death of Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort in Pune, Maharashtra, has escalated into a shocking murder investigation. Authorities have determined that this incident was not an accident but rather a premeditated scheme. Ketan's fiancée, Siya Goyal, along with her lover, Chetan Chaudhary, has been apprehended and remanded to police custody until June 29.

On June 18, Ketan visited Lohagad Fort with Siya. During their outing, he fell from the fort, leading to his death. Initially, this was perceived as an accident, with Siya informing Ketan's family that he slipped while trekking. However, the investigation took a turn when CCTV footage was reviewed.

The footage revealed a suspicious individual near the ticket counter, obscured by a hoodie and headset, who appeared to be following Ketan and Siya closely. In another clip, Siya suddenly turns around, and at that moment, the individual sits down, raising further suspicions. Investigators noted that the temperature that day was around thirty-three degrees Celsius, making the choice to wear a hoodie particularly questionable.

The suspect was later identified as Chetan Chaudhary. During questioning, it was revealed that he and Siya were involved in a romantic relationship and conspired to eliminate Ketan. When asked why they chose murder over eloping, Chetan explained that Siya was not in favor of breaking off her engagement, fearing disgrace for her family and social humiliation. Police believe that the fear of losing family honor and societal reputation fueled this horrific plot. Currently, authorities are conducting thorough interrogations of both suspects as they delve deeper into every aspect of the case.
