Indian smartphone brand Lava International Limited has launched the Smart 4 Plus smartphone, introducing a new Smart Series in the budget smartphone segment under Rs 10,000. Designed with young consumers in mind, this phone offers many attractive features including a large display, powerful battery, IP64 dust and water resistance. The company has priced the phone at Rs 9,999 and is available at Lava’s retail stores across the country.

Speaking about the launch, Sumit Singh, SVP and Head of Product, Lava International, said that the Smart Series has been specially developed for consumers under Rs 10,000. As design, durability and battery are important factors for consumers in this category, Smart 4 Plus has given special emphasis on these three aspects. Considering the Indian climate, the phone has been made more durable and the Band 28 support will also provide better network connectivity.

The Lava Smart 4 Plus features a 17.13 cm (6.75 inch) HD+ display. The larger screen makes for a better video streaming, social media browsing and entertainment experience. The big display is considered to be the main attraction of this phone.

For performance, this smartphone has UNISOC 9863A octa-core processor. The phone has 4GB of RAM and supports an additional 4GB of virtual RAM. Also, 64GB of internal storage is available to easily store the apps and files of daily use. The company claims that this phone will be useful for multitasking as well.

In terms of battery, Lava Smart 4 Plus has a 5000mAh battery. The phone can be easily charged thanks to the Type-C port and 10W charging support. The phone is designed to provide long battery backup.

The phone has a 13MP AI dual rear camera for photography and a 5MP front camera for selfies. Apart from this, features like conference calling, unknown call recording and auto call recording are also provided in the phone.

In terms of software, this smartphone runs on Android 15 Go Edition and the company has guaranteed 2 years of security updates. Also the IP64 Dust and Water Resistance rating provides additional protection against dust and water splashes. Maintaining Lava’s customer centric service, Free Service @ Home facility is also available with Smart 4 Plus. This will reduce the need for customers to go to the service center for after sales services.
