Spain successfully accomplished its primary goal today by finishing at the top of Group H.
However, the victory came with unfortunate news. Yéremy Pino, who entered the match in the 66th minute, sustained a fracture to his left collarbone. Medical assessments estimate his recovery period to be between six and twelve weeks. Consequently, head coach Luis De La Fuente has officially confirmed that Pino will be unavailable for the rest of the World Cup.
Meanwhile, COPE reported that Nico Williams ended the game with muscle discomfort in his thigh, adding further concerns for La Roja’s camp as they progress into the knockout stages.
