A sensational case has come to light from Ahmedabad, which has put the sacred relationship between husband and wife to shame. A married woman resident of Shahibagh area of the city has made very serious and shocking allegations of harassment against her husband and in-laws. The woman alleges that her husband forcibly showed her porn films and forced her to have physical relations with him in a perverted and unnatural manner. The extent of oppression reached such a level that the woman was not spared even during pregnancy. It is alleged that the husband kicked her on the stomach and pressurized her to have an abortion.
Fed up with the constant harassment and death threats, the victim finally gathered courage. The woman has lodged an FIR against her husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law at Ahmedabad Mahila Police Station. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police has immediately started investigation. Actually, this whole story starts from the year 2011, but with time the story of atrocities by in-laws became horrifying.
Secret revealed only after 15 days of marriage
The victim told in her complaint to the police that she was married in the year 2011. Only 15 days had passed after the marriage when such a truth came in front of him which made the ground slip from under his feet. The woman came to know that her husband was already married and had a child. The in-laws had kept this very important thing hidden from them at the time of marriage. When the woman protested after the truth came out, she started being harassed. Mother-in-law and brother-in-law started taunting her for bringing less dowry. The limit reached when despite the woman being pregnant, she was not given rest and was made to do heavy household chores.
Forced and forced to make video calls with girls from abroad even during illness
The woman alleges that even after the birth of a daughter, her husband’s behavior did not change. He would often stay at parties till late night and after coming home, would forcibly have physical relations with his wife against her will. The victim told that if she ever fell ill, her husband would force her to take stimulant drugs and would beat her mercilessly if she refused.
When the woman became pregnant for the second time, the husband started pressurizing her to have an abortion. If he did not agree, he was threatened with divorce. Fed up with the harassment, when the woman went to her maternal home, the husband reached there too. In fact, the accused entered the parental home and kicked his pregnant wife on the stomach and forcibly dragged her back to her in-laws’ house. Even after this the period of torture did not stop. One night the woman caught her husband talking to foreign girls in an objectionable manner on video call. After this, the husband started forcing her to have similar relationships by showing obscene videos of those girls.
Thrown out of home after birth of three daughters, now threatened in the name of police
As time passed, the woman gave birth to a third daughter, but the attitude of her in-laws became more cruel. Mother-in-law and brother-in-law often taunted that ‘Our son does not like you, he has kept you in fear of the society.’ When the victim complained to her mother-in-law about her husband’s affair, the mother-in-law quarreled with her daughter-in-law and threw her out of the house. When she returned after spending about five months at her maternal home, her husband’s heinous acts had started again. Ultimately the husband shifted the woman and her three daughters to another house and started living separately.
When the woman talked about taking recourse to the law, the husband threatened her and said, ‘The police is under my control and my reach is very high. If anyone complains, I will kill you. However, instead of succumbing to these threats, the woman approached the police. Police officials say that a case has been registered and strict legal action is being taken against the accused.
