RSS and police are investigating the Ayodhya Ram temple donation scam. In this case, 8 accused have been arrested and Rs 80 lakh has been recovered. Trust general secretary Champat Rai is also under investigation.
New Delhi: Now Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has also started its investigation regarding the alleged scam of donations in Ayodhya Ram temple. On the instructions of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, a Kshetra Pracharak from Uttar Pradesh has reached Ayodhya for investigation. In this matter, Trust General Secretary Champat Rai has been asked to clarify what happened in the Trust meeting of July 11. There is news that Champat Rai has also been called to Delhi. Reports are saying that as soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns from his foreign tour, the discussion on restructuring of the trust will also start.

The police had recently taken a major step in investigating the allegations of financial irregularities in the donations received for the construction of Ram Temple. Ayodhya Police simultaneously raided the houses of all the eight accused in the case. This action took place in the presence of the magistrate at the houses of other accused including Avinash Shukla, Luv Kush Mishra and Ramshankar Yadav. All eight people accused of irregularities are currently in judicial custody till June 29. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) in its investigation has found that apart from embezzlement of money, relatives were also recruited in the temple.
Questions are also being raised regarding the delay in registering the case in this matter. It is alleged that the police and trust employees had already got information about this fraud, but there was a delay in registering the case. Meanwhile, a CCTV footage of the raid conducted at the house of accused Avinash Shukla on June 5 has also surfaced, in which officers are seen carrying a bag. A total of eight people have been arrested so far in the Ayodhya Ram Temple donation scam case. The court had recently sent him to judicial custody. Today the accused will be presented again in the court.
One of the arrested, Subhash Kashyap, is a retired bank employee. His job was to count the money taken out of the donation box and deposit it in the bank. The remaining six people were involved in counting the donations. Another accused is Champat Rai's driver Tinku Yadav. Police have recovered around Rs 80 lakh from the remaining seven people except the bank employee.
