The Rajasthan government has launched the 'Khushishala' program in approximately 1,500 government primary schools. Its objective is to enhance the mental health and emotional development of children. According to officials, Rajasthan is the first state in the country to launch such a structured mental health program.
Implemented by the Rajasthan State Council of Educational Research and Training (RSCERT), this program targets students in classes 1 through 5 and focuses on their emotional well-being, social development, and life skills through activity-based learning.
