UPESSC Assistant Professor Interview: The UP Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the interview schedule for the selection of 910 Assistant Professor posts across 33 subjects under Advertisement No. 51. According to Commission Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar, the written examination for these posts was conducted on April 18 and 19, 2026, and the results were declared on June 9, 2026. Interviews for the 3,155 candidates who qualified in the written examination will be held on various dates between July 21, 2026, and August 13, 2026.
Interview Schedule
According to the schedule released by the Commission, interviews will be held as follows: July 21 (Tuesday) – Economics; July 22 (Wednesday) – Botany and Philosophy; July 23 (Thursday) – Chemistry; July 24 (Friday) – English; July 28 (Tuesday) – Agricultural Economics, Anthropology, and Geography; July 29 (Wednesday) – Physics and Psychology; July 30 (Thursday) – Painting, Sanskrit, and Urdu; July 31 (Friday) – Ancient History, Military Science, and Music (Vocal). Similarly, interviews will be conducted on August 4 (Tuesday) – Education and History; August 5 (Wednesday) – Animal Husbandry & Dairy Science, Music (Tabla), Physical Education, and Zoology; August 6 (Thursday) – Law and Political Science; August 7 and 11 – Hindi; August 7 – Mathematics; August 12 (Wednesday) – Asian Culture, Horticulture, Music (Sitar), Sociology, and Statistics; and August 13 (Thursday) – Commerce and Home Science.

According to Commission Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar, candidates who qualified in the written examination can download their interview admit cards starting today, June 29, 2026, by visiting the Commission's official website, www.upessc.up.gov.in. The Commission has clarified that the said interview shall be subject to the outcome of the order dated April 17, 2026, passed in Special Appeal No. 368/2026 (*Harvinder Singh & Others vs. State of U.P. & Others*) filed in the High Court, and the order dated May 25, 2026, passed in Special Leave Petition (Diary No. 23758/2026) (*Dheeraj Chandani vs. State of U.P. & Others*) filed against it in the Supreme Court.
