Following Germany’s unexpected exit from the FIFA World Cup after their defeat to Paraguay on Monday, a press conference with head coach Julian Nagelsmann was initially planned for Tuesday.
However, according to a report by Sport1, the German Football Association (DFB) has decided to cancel the scheduled press briefing.
Instead, the German national team will return home on Tuesday before the players go on their off-season breaks.
The report further mentions that Nagelsmann and the DFB intend to address the current situation through alternative channels, though it remains uncertain how or when they will do so.
This cancellation has intensified speculation regarding Nagelsmann’s future as head coach. The 38-year-old manager, following the loss to Paraguay, expressed his desire to continue leading the team unless the DFB opts for a change. Nagelsmann’s current contract runs until 2028.
