Sweden’s goalkeeper, Jacob Zetterström, put on a determined display during the first half, standing firm as France unleashed a flurry of attempts on goal. Despite the relentless pressure, Zetterström managed to keep the scoreline goalless for much of the opening 45 minutes.
However, just before the interval, Mbappé broke the deadlock with a beautifully curled effort inside the penalty area, netting his fifth goal of the tournament. With this strike, he remains just behind Lionel Messi in the race for the Golden Boot.
