FC Bayern Munich have officially confirmed the signing of Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven, marking another major addition to the Bundesliga champions’ squad.

The dynamic forward is currently representing Morocco at the World Cup, which is being jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Following the conclusion of the tournament, Saibari will make his move from the Dutch champions to Munich. The 25-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2031.

“We are thrilled to have secured the services of Ismael Saibari, one of the most exciting forwards at this World Cup,” said Max Eberl, FC Bayern’s board member for sport.

“Transfers of this nature are not spontaneous; they stem from long-term strategic planning. The decisive factor was that we made our intentions clear to him at an early stage. We recognised Ismael’s ability and could demonstrate a clear vision for his future at Bayern right from the beginning.

“Ismael Saibari will add an extra dimension of quality and unpredictability to our attacking play,” Eberl added.

Saibari, who will don the number 34 shirt for the Bavarian side, expressed his excitement at joining one of the most prestigious football clubs in the world.

“When you are a child, you dream of signing for a club like FC Bayern. Everyone knows it is among the biggest clubs in world football,” Saibari said.

“Bayern compete for the most important titles, such as the Champions League, every year, and I want to win as many trophies as possible here. The team’s playing style fits mine perfectly, and I’m eager to contribute and work hard every single day to help the squad.

“Coach Vincent Kompany played a significant role in my decision, and I am really looking forward to working with him,” he added.
