Following Ram Kapoor's controversial remarks about infidelity in marriage, his wife, Gautami Kapoor, expressed her support on Instagram. She shared a cheerful photo of the couple, captioning it simply, “Only love @ramkapoor.” Shortly after, she posted a video featuring spiritual leader Sadhguru discussing love and trust, stating, “If love is true it will happen without an object. If it’s really genuine true love it will happen what it means is you have made your emotions very pleasant… Everything that you behold you have a certain pleasantness towards it, that is love.” Many fans interpreted these posts as Gautami's subtle response to the ongoing debate.
The controversy ignited when Ram, a participant on Lock Upp Season 2, suggested that infidelity does not necessarily end a marriage if love remains intact. He reflected on the challenges couples face over the years, stating, “Sometimes during 20-25 years of marriage, what happens is you have highs and lows, good periods and bad periods. Bad phase mein agar galti se kisi ek se kuch hojaaye, agar aap unke bagair nahi jee sakte aur aapne bacchon ke bagair nahi jee sakte, then time heals everything, and nothing is a deal-breaker. Sometimes it happens by mistake.”
Ram also shared his comfort in performing romantic scenes, attributing it to the trust and openness in his marriage, emphasizing that Gautami has never objected to his kissing scenes with co-stars.
The couple first met while acting in Ghar Ek Mandir in the early 2000s and tied the knot on Valentine’s Day in 2003. They are proud parents to a daughter, Sia, and a son, Aks.
