The incident took place on Taxiway C, involving a general aviation aircraft and a box truck. There were two individuals aboard the aircraft and one person operating the truck. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The airport was briefly closed for an investigation but resumed normal operations later that day. RDU confirmed in a statement, "The airfield is now open and operating normally for arriving and departing flights."
