Rishi Kapoor once schooled his son Ranbir Kapoor over substance abuse, as a crew member from Do Doni Char recalled an unexpected incident from the past.
The Nagina actor, known for his fiery personality, is often remembered as one of the industry’s most short-tempered actors.
In an exclusive interview on The Shivam Podcast, Sumit took a trip down memory lane as he revisited a behind-the-scenes moment when Rishi scolded his son after Ranbir admitted in a TV interview that he had tried marijuana.
Sumit recalled, “He saw Ranbir saying that he once tried marijuana. He called Ranbir up and asked me to leave, and he started yelling.”
In addition, he opened up about Rishi’s wife Neetu Kapoor’s nature on set.
Singing the praises of the Jug Jugg Jeeyo actress, he added, “She was so sweet. She would get cookies for everyone, call everyone by their names, take care of everyone, love them, and listen to everyone.”
He also recalled how the Rockstar actor would often see his mother on set and leave without greeting his father.
For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67.
