In the ongoing campaign for the safe recovery of missing persons under the direction of District Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma, under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar and the efficient direction of Area Officer Pipri Harsh Pandey and the leadership of Inspector-in-charge Shaktinagar Satyendra Kumar Rai, Shaktinagar police station has achieved significant success.

Continuous efforts were being made by the police team to search the missing woman Amrit Devi, aged about 35 years, and her two sons, Prateek, aged about 6 years, and Kartik, aged about 4 years, residents of Kohraulia, Police Station Shaktinagar, District Sonbhadra, to the Bahwala report number-33* and missing number-08/2026 registered at Police Station Shaktinagar. During the investigation, on the basis of technical and human evidence, coordination was established with Police Station Karodra, District Surat Rural (Gujarat). As a result of coordinated efforts, the woman and both children were recovered safely.

After recovery, the woman and both the children were brought safely to Sonbhadra district, they were duly identified and after completing the necessary legal proceedings, they were handed over to their families. No untoward incident or criminal fact came to light.

Inspector-in-charge Satyendra Kumar Rai, police station Shaktinagar, district Sonbhadra, sub-inspector Ajay Kumar Srivastava, police officer Arun Kumar were included in the police team that made the recovery.

After the woman and her two children recovered safely and met their families, the family members expressed their gratitude to the Sonbhadra Police. The prompt and commendable action of the police team is also being highly appreciated by the regional citizens.
