Prayagraj. A case of marriage by hiding religion and death of a newly married woman has come to light in Kaundhiara, Uttar Pradesh. In which the police has taken major action in the case of death of a newly married woman under suspicious circumstances.

According to reports, on the complaint of the deceased’s father, the police have registered a case against the main accused Mohammad Sahil and his family under section 302 of murder, forced conversion and SC/ST Act. Considering the sensitivity of this case, along with the accused, his mother and sister have also been taken into custody by the police. This sensational case came to light when the victim’s family, resident of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, lodged a complaint with Prayagraj Police.
Journey from friendship to death on Instagram
According to the information received, accused Mohammad Sahil had befriended the girl by calling himself Prince Verma on Instagram. After this both of them got married in Arya Samaj temple.
Pressure and torture for religious conversion

The victim’s family members have alleged that the accused and his family members were pressurizing her to forcibly change her religion. They were doing this after the girl came to know the truth. After this, when the victim protested, her hand named Gude was burnt with petrol and she was brutally beaten.
Dead body secretly buried in cemetery
The shocking thing is that the girl died in the month of May itself. But without informing the girl’s parents, the accused buried her body in a cemetery named Iqra Khan.
Caste abuses and threats
Apart from this, the father of the deceased alleges that the accused used caste- words against him on the phone and also threatened to kill him. On the basis of this, sections of SC/ST Act have also been applied in this case.

The body was taken out in the presence of the magistrate
In the month of June, on the complaint of the victim’s family and on the orders of the District Magistrate, the police dug the grave in the presence of the Magistrate and took out the body. Post-mortem of the dead body has been done, however due to the body being very old, the exact cause of death has not been known. Information has been received from the hospital records that the accused had admitted the girl for treatment in the name of Muslim. After this, on the complaint of Tirath Saket, Kaundhiara police station has registered an FIR against 7 to 8 people including Mohammad Sahil, Gulfam, Quraysa Bano, Tamanna and Salma. However, police officials say that three accused have been sent to jail. At present, investigation is being done to arrest all the remaining absconding accused.
