History created with a throw of 87.05 meters

25-year-old Rohit Yadav, resident of Adari Dabhiya village of Jaunpur, performed brilliantly in the competition by throwing 87.05 meter javelin. With this achievement he made a strong mark among the top javelin throwers of India. Rohit had earlier finished sixth in the Commonwealth Games and tenth in the World Championship. Apart from this, he has also qualified for the Asian Games. His success is considered to be the result of years of hard work, discipline and continuous better performance.

Practiced with bamboo sticks, even poverty could not stop.

Rohit's success story is no less than an inspiration. His father Sabhajit Yadav is a farmer and the financial condition of the family remained weak for a long time. In the initial days there was no money even to buy a javelin. In such a situation, Rohit and his brothers started practicing by making bamboo sticks into javelins. Rohit's elder brother Rahul Yadav says that the family never let financial constraints come in the way of their dreams. Despite limited resources, the three brothers practiced continuously and gradually made their mark at national and international levels.

All three brothers are making the country proud

Rohit Yadav is not alone, but the entire family is associated with sports. Elder brother Rahul Yadav is also a javelin thrower and trains the children of the village. The youngest brother Rohan Yadav has also won medals at the international level. This achievement of Rohit is a matter of pride not only for Jaunpur but for the entire Uttar Pradesh and the country. His story gives the message that if the goal is clear and the hard work is true, then even lack of resources cannot stop the path to success. This journey that started with a bamboo stick has today reached the point of becoming the country's number-1 javelin thrower.
