Sciver-Brunt scored 75 runs in 47 balls with the help of 11 fours and one six, while Heather Knight scored 58 runs in 47 balls with six fours and one six. England scored 169 runs for five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
For South Africa, Ann Mlaba and Shabnim Ismail took two wickets each, while Maryjane Kapp got one wicket.
Chasing the target of 170 runs, the South African team could score only 129 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Tanjamin Bits scored the highest score of 51 runs, which included six fours. Apart from them, captain Laura Woolfart contributed 17 runs, Chloe Tryon 12, Sune Luus 11 and ND Klerk contributed 14 unbeaten runs. Five batsmen of the team could not even touch double figures.
For England, Lauren Bell and Charlotte Dean took two wickets each. Freya Camp and Linsey Smith took one wicket each.
With this victory, England has secured a place in the final, where on Sunday it will face Australia, the most successful team in women’s cricket. This title match between the two teams is expected to be very exciting for the cricket lovers.
