Political rhetoric regarding the theft of Ram temple offerings is becoming increasingly intense. In fact, Himachal Pradesh’s Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, while making a direct attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party on this issue, said that if allegations of irregularities have come to light in the offerings collected in the name of Lord Ram, then an impartial investigation into the entire matter is necessary. He said that such allegations are to the sentiments of crores of devotees across the country, hence the truth should come out.
In fact, during the press conference held in Shimla, Vikramaditya Singh said that strict action should be taken against those who have hurt the sentiments of those who believe in the name of Lord Ram. He alleged that the matter should be investigated under an independent system so that there is no doubt. He also said that questions are being raised on the impartiality of the investigating agencies, hence conducting the investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court would be a better option.
Congress raised demand for fair investigation
At the same time, All India Congress Committee’s national spokesperson and Theog MLA Kuldeep Rathore has also demanded a detailed investigation in this matter. In fact, he said that Ram temple is not just a religious place but is the center of faith for crores of people. In such a situation, if there are allegations of alleged irregularities in the offerings, then it is necessary to conduct a transparent investigation into the entire matter. He said that initial action alone will not bring back people’s confidence, but the entire process of investigation should also be seen as impartial.
Questions were also raised on SIT
In fact, Kuldeep Rathore also raised questions on the SIT constituted by the Uttar Pradesh government. He said that when the investigation is in the hands of officials of the same administrative system on which questions are being raised, then naturally questions will be raised regarding impartiality. He reiterated the demand for the investigation to be conducted under the supervision of a sitting judge of the Supreme Court. He also said that if any person is found guilty in the investigation, then legal action should be taken against him without any discrimination.
Questions raised regarding trust also
Along with this, Congress leaders also mentioned about the security arrangements of the temple complex during the press conference. He said that in a highly secured complex like Ram Temple, a large number of security personnel are deployed and there is a wide network of CCTV cameras for surveillance. In such a situation, if there has been any alleged irregularity to the offerings, then it is important to know where the security arrangements went wrong and who is responsible. Kuldeep Rathore also alleged that the trust involved in the construction of the temple has been kept out of the purview of the Right to Information (RTI), raising questions about transparency.
