HTET Exam Guidelines 2026: The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) will conduct the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) on July 4 and 5, 2026. The exam will be held for three levels (PRT, TGT, and PGT). Candidates appearing for the exam should carefully read the guidelines related to the exam day to avoid any issues later.
2.33 lakh candidates to take the exam
A total of 2,33,294 candidates from across the state will appear for the exam at 383 centers. The Level-3 exam will be held on July 4 (evening session), with 73,091 candidates appearing. The Level-2 exam will take place on the morning of July 5, with 1,19,141 candidates participating. The Level-1 exam will be conducted in the evening session, with 41,062 candidates appearing.
Surveillance via AI-equipped cameras
The Board of School Education Haryana has made robust arrangements to ensure the smooth and malpractice-free conduct of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. This time, CCTV cameras equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology are being used to prevent cheating.
Through this system, live monitoring of all exam centers will be conducted from a high-tech Command and Control Center established at the Board headquarters, enabling the immediate detection of any suspicious activity.
Screening via metal detectors
Board Chairman Shankar Lal Dhupar and Secretary Munish Sharma have issued necessary guidelines for the successful conduct of the exam. They stated that before entering the exam center, all candidates will undergo thorough screening using metal detectors and biometric verification to prevent any irregularities or anti-social activities during the exam.

How early must one reach the exam center?
According to the Board, it is mandatory for all candidates to reach the exam center 2 hours and 10 minutes before the exam begins. During this time, procedures such as metal detector screening, biometric verification, thumb impression recording, and other necessary formalities will be completed.
Download and carry a printout of the admit card
Candidates appearing for the exam can download their admit cards from the official website, bseh.org.in. No candidate will be allowed entry into the exam center without an admit card; therefore, please carry a printed copy with you.
What must be carried to the exam center?
Candidates must carry the following documents:
A color printout of the e-admit card
The original photo identity proof submitted during the online application process
Color printouts of both the 'Center Copy' and 'Candidate Copy' of the admit card
The same color photograph uploaded during the application process must be affixed to the admit card and attested by a Gazetted Officer.
What is prohibited at the exam center?
The Board has banned several items at the exam center, including:
Mobile phones
Smartwatches or regular watches
Calculators
Bluetooth devices, earphones, or other electronic gadgets
Cameras
Metal objects
Wallets, plastic pouches
Jewelry such as rings, chains, earrings, lockets, etc.
Paper, notes, or written slips
What items are permitted?
Female candidates may wear a bindi, sindoor, and mangalsutra.
Baptized Sikh candidates will be permitted to carry religious symbols. Candidates are advised to reach the examination center on time and adhere to all guidelines issued by the board to avoid any inconvenience during entry or the examination.
