IUAC Vacancy 2026: The Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi—an autonomous institute under the UGC, Ministry of Education, Government of India—has released a recruitment notification for 2026. Applications are invited from eligible Indian candidates for a total of 8 positions: Scientist-C, Junior Engineer-C, and Library Assistant-C.

What are the eligibility criteria?
Scientist-C: Candidates must hold an M.Sc. degree in Physics or Applied Physics. A minimum of 60% marks is required in academic qualifications from Class 10 onwards. The maximum age limit is 26 years. Knowledge of computers is desirable.

Junior Engineer-C: Candidates must possess a diploma in Electronics and have secured at least 60% marks in Class 10. Preference will be given to those with experience in the relevant field and computer knowledge. The maximum age limit is 30 years.

Library Assistant-C: A B.Sc. degree along with a B.Lib. degree and 4 years of experience in a computerized library are required for this post. Candidates with computer knowledge will be given preference. The maximum age limit is set at 34 years.

How will the selection take place?
For the Scientist-C post, candidates will be selected based on a written examination and an interview. For the Junior Engineer-C and Library Assistant-C posts, a skill/trade test will be conducted following the written examination. Final selection will be based on the candidates' performance.
