New Delhi: Big news has come out regarding the monsoon session of Parliament. On the recommendation of the Government of India, President Draupadi Murmu has approved convening of both the houses of Parliament for the monsoon session 2026. The monsoon session will begin on July 20, 2026 and will continue till August 13.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has shared information about the monsoon session through social media. He said that during the session, meaningful debates, discussions will be held and important decisions will be taken on various important issues of national importance in both the Houses.

Opposition can create ruckus in the House on these issues

The opposition is fully prepared to corner the Modi government in the monsoon session. In this session, there is a possibility of huge uproar over the issue of NEET paper leak and theft of Ram temple offering. Along with this, the opposition in the House can demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. At the same time, Congress can raise questions regarding the Great Nicobar Project of Andaman. The opposition can also raise many other issues to national interest in the House.

Effect of rebellion will be visible in monsoon session

This time, the impact of the rebellion in Trinamool Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) can be seen in the monsoon session. Recently, 20 MPs of Trinamool Congress and six MPs of Shiv Sena (UBT) had rebelled. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s decision is also awaited on the demand of recognizing the rebel MPs of both the parties as a separate parliamentary group. If this happens then the political equations within the Parliament may change. NDA will be in a stronger position.

These bills can be introduced in the monsoon session

Let us tell you that the BJP led coalition NDA government is preparing to introduce many important bills in the monsoon session. These may also include bills to women’s reservation and delimitation. Both the proposed bills fall in the category of constitutional amendments. To get such bills passed by Parliament, a two-thirds majority of the members present and voting in both the Houses as well as other necessary procedures prescribed in the Constitution have to be followed. Keeping this in view, the government is making efforts to create a broad political consensus. Apart from this, the 130th Constitution Amendment Bill can be brought to snatch away the chair of PM, CM and Minister from jail for more than 30 days.
