According to Calcio Mercato, Sunderland, Newcastle United, and Nottingham Forest have approached Juventus regarding a potential move for French midfielder Khephren Thuram. The report further mentions that Manchester United and Liverpool are also monitoring the situation, while Paris Saint-Germain, Galatasaray, and Fenerbahce have expressed interest as well.

Sunderland are yet to complete their first signing of the summer as they get ready for their debut campaign in the UEFA Europa League. The club recently received a boost after indications that Granit Xhaka is likely to stay, despite strong interest from Chelsea.

Director of football Florent Ghisolfi stated last month that maintaining stability would be the key focus for the remainder of the transfer window. He cited Athletic Bilbao as an example of a club that emphasises continuity, explaining that last summer required significant changes, but this year he aims to work primarily with the existing squad.

Several players have been linked with a move to Wearside in recent weeks, with uncertainty continuing to surround Thuram’s future at the Serie A side. The midfielder’s situation at Juventus has reportedly attracted growing interest from clubs across Europe.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United recently secured a £115 million boost from the sale of Elliot Anderson. While Sunderland are still expected to bring in reinforcements, their recruitment strategy is understood to be measured and deliberate.
