‘Will Arjun Kapoor marry next?’: Anshula Kapoor’s kaleera falls on him as actor gets emotional walking her down the aisleinstagram

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor’s sister, Anshula Kapoor, married her longtime partner, Rohan Thakkar, on Monday, July 6. The couple shared dreamy wedding pictures on social media, looking radiant in their bridal couture.

Hours after the official photos were shared, an emotional video of Anshula walking down the aisle went viral.

In the clip, brother Arjun Kapoor is seen holding Anshula’s hands as he walks her down the aisle. Later, father Boney Kapoor joins them. Arjun got emotional while walking his sister down the aisle, and even Boney Kapoor was seen teary-eyed. The father-daughter moment, with Arjun by their side, has become one of the most heartwarming videos from the wedding ceremony.

Another clip from the wedding festivities that is doing the rounds on social media is Anshula Kapoor’s kaleera ceremony. In the video, Arjun Kapoor is all smiles after Anshula’s kaleera falls on him during her chooda ceremony.

The clip also shows Khushi Kapoor fixing the kaleera on Arjun’s back. Sharing the video on Instagram, Anshula joked that she had never seen her brother so “committed” to getting chosen by a kaleera.

Sharing the video, Anshula added an on-screen text that read, “When the kaleera lands on your brother, and he’s happier than anyone else.” In the caption, she wrote, “I’ve never seen anyone so committed to getting chosen by a Kaleera! @arjunkapoor My fav part? The kaleera that fell on him said, ‘smile’!”

As soon as the kaleera fell on Arjun, fans quickly took to social media and joked that the actor would be the next Kapoor sibling to get married.

Arjun also shared unseen photos from Anshula’s wedding, giving fans a closer look at the intimate celebrations.

For the unversed, the kaleera ceremony is a traditional wedding ritual in which it is believed that if the bride’s kaleera falls on someone, that person is likely to get married next.

What is the Choodha Ceremony?

Before the kaleera ritual comes the sacred choodha ceremony, an important Punjabi and North Indian wedding tradition. The bride receives a set of 21 red and white bangles from her maternal uncle (mama), symbolising love, marital happiness, prosperity and good fortune. Traditionally purified in raw milk and covered with a cloth before being worn, the choodha marks the bride’s transition into a beautiful new chapter of married life.

Arjun shared unseen photos from Anshula’s wedding and penned a heartfelt note.

Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor were one of the most loved couples in B-town; they called it quits in March 2024.
