Mirzapur. A sensation spread in Tulapur village of Kachwan police station area when local fishermen had gone fishing in a pond. When the fishermen cast their net into the pond, instead of the fish, a heavy sack got stuck in their net.

When the fishermen took out the sack and opened it, they were stunned. A huge quantity of ballast (concrete) was filled inside the sack and 31 passports were hidden in the middle of the same ballast. The sack was filled with ballast so that it would become heavy and sink to the bottom of the pond and would never be touched by anyone.
Suspicion deepens on agents sending foreign countries

Due to receipt of such a large number of passports, deep suspicion is being raised on the role of fake agents and human trafficking/fraud gangs who send people abroad in the name of jobs. It is suspected that:
Fraud case: Agents might have extorted passports and huge sums of money from the youth in the name of getting them jobs abroad.
Attempt to destroy evidence: In order to avoid work or fear of legal action/police, the agents tied all these passports together in a sack filled with ballast and threw them in the pond so that the evidence could be destroyed.

On receiving information about passports being found in the pond, Kachwan police station immediately reached the spot and confiscated all 31 passports. The police are now trying to contact the holders of these passports on the basis of their addresses and names, to find out who and what kind of fraud has been done to them. The police has started investigation to expose this entire gang.
