Inspiring fans with her dedicationShe was performing the yoga with elegance and patience. Yoga is something that isn't instant. It takes time with its results. The reel had an overlaid caption that followed as: #DailyYogaWith Me.
Fans were pouring their love on their beloved actress. One commented,

“So sweet of you to encourage everyone to do yoga. It's really beneficial.”

BhujangasanaThe yoga was Bhujangasana; a Sanskrit nomenclature. It is also referred to as Cobra position which helps in battling fatigue and relieves lower back pain.

Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) is a heart-opening backbend that allows you to stretch your entire upper body.

This pose is typically practiced early in class as a warm-up and precursor to more intense backbends, including Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (Upward-Facing Dog Pose) and Ustrasana (Camel).

According to Yoga Journal, the Sanskrit word means snake and from the root bhuj, which means “to bend or curve.” The king cobra, revered in Indian myths, can glide forward while lifting the upper third of its body upright. During practicing the Cobra Pose, it is tried to emulate this animal’s powerful yet fluid motion.

The following steps are as follows:

  • Begin on your belly with your feet hip-distance apart and your hands beside your ribs.
  • Extend your big toes straight back and press down with all ten toenails to activate your quadriceps and then rotate your inner thighs toward the ceiling to broaden the lower back.
  • Pressing down lightly with your hands, start to lift your head and chest, rolling your shoulders back and down. While doing that, keep the back of your neck long and focus on lifting your sternum instead of lifting your chin.
  • Also straighten your arms while keeping your shoulders remaining away from your ears and keep at least a slight bend in your elbows.

In another reel that was also posted by the Hum Apke Hain Kaun actress, showed her doing another position which showcased a Mudra Asana , a comparatively easier pose than Bhujangasana. As her caption suggested, it helps in digestion.

Mudra AsanaAccording to the Yoga Journal, this asana can be practiced by following the mentioned steps:

  • Exhale and bend forward, touching the forehead to the floor, then hold for 6 seconds.
  • Once you have done that, inhale and return to the starting position and repeat by twisting to the right, then to the left. The asana should be completed in 3 rounds with short breaks.

Every asana in yoga has some or other health benefits. This yoga stretches the back and neck and also improves spinal circulation and flexibility.

Mudra asana massages abdominal organs and aids digestion, helps relieve constipation, supports pelvic health and may ease lower back pain.
