What is the identity of fake friends?

1. Those who do evil behind one’s back-Friends who always praise a person in front of him, do not even point out his mistakes and speak ill of him in front of others. They also spoil his finished work. One should stay away from such people because they break trust in bad times. In Garuda Purana, such people have been compared to poison.

2. Selfish people-People who come close to you to get their work done and turn away as soon as the work is completed. When the person asks them for help, they refuse to cooperate and maintain distance.

3. Those who give false praise-Those who always agree with you and do not show you the right path. Such friends encourage your mistakes instead of correcting them.

4. Those who abandon you in times of crisis-This is the biggest test of friendship. When a friend leaves you in bad times, understand that that person was never your true friend.

5. Pride of wealth-It is told in Garuda Purana that people who are proud of their wealth and make friends with others based on their financial condition, one should never befriend them because such people are not true friends of anyone in reality.
