Jharkhand government has taken a big step towards preparing the state for future technologies. In fact, major IT companies, industry organizations, policy experts and academicians from India and abroad participated in the two-day National Stakeholders Consultation held in New Delhi. The objective of this program is to make the new policies of the state in line with the needs of the industry and to give Jharkhand a strong identity in the digital economy.
In fact, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said during the inauguration of the program that ‘Jharkhand now wants to make its mark not only for mineral resources but also in the field of knowledge, research and new technologies.’ He said that the aim of the state is to create such a development model in which industry, technology, education and employment move forward together. The Chief Minister also said that in the coming times, technology-based development will determine the competitiveness of the states and Jharkhand does not want to lag behind in this direction.
Special focus remained on digital governance
In fact, on the first day of the program, concept papers of Jharkhand AI Policy, Investment Promotion Policy, Tourism Policy, Textile Policy, Excess Regulations and PPP Policy were placed before the stakeholders. Suggestions were sought from the industry, technical experts and investors on these issues, so that the final policy can become more practical and investment friendly. During this, representatives of Microsoft, Google, IBM and other technical institutes gave many suggestions to strengthen digital infrastructure, cloud technology, artificial intelligence and e-governance in Jharkhand.
Emphasis given on digital skill development
In fact, during the discussion, it was emphasized that new technologies can play a big role in making government services faster, transparent and easier. Along with this, digital skill development, startup ecosystem and increasing opportunities for new technical jobs for the youth were also considered in detail. Jharkhand government believes that the policies prepared on the basis of these suggestions will improve the investment environment in the state and private sector participation will also increase.
Technological development will get new momentum in Jharkhand
Business-to-Government (B2G) dialogue was also organized between the government and industry during the National Stakeholders Consultation. In this, investment possibilities in IT, Artificial Intelligence, digital services and modern industries were discussed in detail. The government clarified that its aim is not just to bring big investments, but to promote projects that create new employment opportunities for local youth.
