Due to the activity of monsoon, moderate to heavy rains are going to continue in Madhya Pradesh till 12-13 July. However, after July 10, the period of extremely heavy rains will start slowing down. However, there may be heavy rain at some places. Red, orange and yellow alerts have been issued for extremely heavy to heavy rain in 21 districts on Thursday. There is a possibility of 4 to 8 inches of rainfall during this period.
Also, there is a possibility of gusty wind of 40-50 km per hour along with thunderstorm and lightning in 34 districts. More than 30 districts received good rainfall during the last 24 hours. About 2.2 inches of rain was recorded in Damoh, 1.1 inches in Narmadapuram and about 2.5 inches in Khajuraho and Tikamgarh. The temperature in most cities also dropped. The highest temperature was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius in Sidhi and the lowest temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius in Chhindwara. Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Gwalior recorded maximum temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius.

- Thunderstorm, gusty wind up to 50 km/h: Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Dewas, Neemuch, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Maihar, Pandhurna.
Madhya Pradesh rain figures so far
Between June 1 and July 8, 2026, about 10% more rainfall than normal has been recorded in Madhya Pradesh. So far, 223.7 mm rainfall has been recorded in Madhya Pradesh, while the normal average is 202.5 mm. Eastern Madhya Pradesh has received less than 10% rainfall and Western Madhya Pradesh has received 30% more rainfall than average. At the state level, the average rainfall of Eastern Madhya Pradesh in July is considered to be 348 mm and that of Western Madhya Pradesh is 296 mm.
